POINT LAYERS CO-VID COMMUNITY RESPONSE: Community Healthcare Network and partners have worked since January to advance vaccine equity, implementing community based sites to serve historically underserved neighborhoods in NYC. Sites are designed to launch outreach campaigns to engage communities with culturally relevant, trusted COVID information (1). Points Layers indicate FEMA Partnership COVID Vaccination Sites and Community-based Vaccination Pop-ups.

DISTRICT LAYERS: NYC district boundaries NYC is divided into the following district groups: State Assembly, State Senate, City Council, Community, Boroughs and Congressional.      1935-1940 HOLC Redlined Neighborhoods: “A” designation (green) deemed minimal risks for banks and other mortgage lenders when they were determining who should received loans and which areas in the city were safe investments.  “D,” designation (red), were considered hazardous (2).

CDC Social Vulnerability Index: The gray color on the map indicates social vulnerability by census tract. The deeper the gray correlates with higher rates of social vulnerability. The CDC SVI ranks each tract on 15 social factors, including poverty, lack of vehicle access, and crowded housing, and groups them into four related themes.
