Lifelong Learning

Delivering learning opportunities to New York City residents in subject areas where Cornell Cooperative Extension has special expertise or knowledge. Programs will combine university-based research and local community expertise for:


  • Meeting adult and continuing educational needs through collaborations with other education institutions
  • Strengthening the foundation skills of youth in literacy, math and science with programs such as the "Hydroponics Learning Model", Agilent Technologies and Youth-to-Youth Literacy
  • Helping youth explore college, careers and alternative education opportunities
  • Preparing young adults to enter and succeed in the rapidly changing workplaces through YouthNet program
