Program Evaluation

As part of a mandate to apply research in addressing the needs of a changing New York, CUCE-NYC has become actively engaged in innovative program evaluation. Some of the leading researcher-practitioners in the field are associated with Cornell University.

Dean Lisa Staiano-Coico recently named William "Bill" Trochim Director of Evaluation for Extension and Outreach for the College of Human Ecology. Professor Trochim has also recently been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to develop a systems-evaluation protocol to enhance the evaluation capacity of the NSF's "STEM" (science, technology, engineering and math) educational programs. The resulting collaboration between the Ithaca campus and our offices in New York makes CUCE-NYC the active link between our leaders in evaluation research and our community partners across the city.

CUCE-NYC looks forward to expanding upon our internal capacity for evaluation services, and to future alliances with the researchers and nonprofit professionals who are interested in this vital and evolving field.
