The Northeast Regional Climate Center (NRCC) contributes expertise in atmospheric and meteorological sciences. Established in 1983, the NRCC is one of six centers that function to meet regional needs for climate data, research-based information and climate expertise. The NRCC serves a 12-state region that includes: Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia. The Center's staff works cooperatively with the National Climatic Data Center, state climatologists and other interested scientists in the Northeast to acquire, analyze, and disseminate accurate, up-to-date climate data and information.
