Outreach and Partner Involvement
There is potential for sustainable economic development in the New York metropolitan region
Close collaboration will continue with the Northeast SUN Grant Center at Cornell (Professor Larry Walker), both via Cornell efforts and those of the 15 land-grant institutions over which the SUN Grant Center has oversight and coordination. The Johnson School of Business via their Sustainable Business Program will become engaged, and present joint efforts with Dutchess, Orange and other Extension Programs will continue and become an expanded part of this effort. New York City partner organizations include the Association of Energy Engineers, NY Energy Policy Group, Neighborhood Energy Network, Greening-a-Block of the Lower East Side and the Environmental Section of the New York Academy of Sciences, among others.
